&lt;p&gt;Pantaleo Corvino played a masterstroke and, with a market blitz, persuaded Ante Rebić to return to Italy for his seventh season in the league. The Croatian striker, who had just finished a stint at Beşiktaş in Turkey, joined Lecce with the aim of bringing experience and character to an attack that was still searching for its first goals after two matchdays of the season.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Born in Split, 30-year-old Rebić took his first steps in professional football with &lt;strong&gt;RNK Split&lt;/strong&gt;, the city`s rival to Hajduk. He made his debut in 2011, during the season that marked the club’s first appearance in the top division. He remained in his hometown for two more seasons, scoring a total of 18 goals in 60 appearances.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In the summer of 2013, he was spotted by &lt;strong&gt;Fiorentina`&lt;/strong&gt;s then-sporting director &lt;strong&gt;Pantaleo Corvino&lt;/strong&gt;, who offered him a chance with the Viola shirt. Ante was still raw for Italian football, and despite scoring 2 goals in 5 matches, he was loaned out. The following years were marked by formative experiences with Leipzig, a return to Florence, and Hellas Verona, but it was with his move to&lt;strong&gt; Eintracht Frankfurt&lt;/strong&gt; that Rebić`s career took off.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In Frankfurt, under the guidance of his compatriot &lt;strong&gt;Niko Kova&lt;/strong&gt;č, Rebić found his stride, becoming a key player for the team. Over three seasons in the Bundesliga, he scored 25 goals in 100 appearances and helped secure the DFB-Pokal, marking his first career title.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In 2019, at the age of 26, Rebić received a call from &lt;strong&gt;AC Milan&lt;/strong&gt;, where he joined Maldini and Massara`s project. After a difficult start, with Stefano &lt;strong&gt;Pioli &lt;/strong&gt;arriving as manager, the Croatian became one of the key players in the Rossoneri`s revival. His first season in Milan ended with 11 goals in Serie A and one in the Coppa Italia, matching his personal record for goals in a season. The 2020/21 season was also positive, with another 11 goals in the league, contributing to AC Milan`s return to the Champions League. Primarily used as a left winger, Rebić was moved to a central attacking role with the emergence of Rafael Leão, a positional change that limited his scoring opportunities. Despite this, he scored his first Champions League goal at Anfield and played a role in securing the &lt;strong&gt;Scudetto &lt;/strong&gt;with two crucial goals against Juventus and Salernitana. After another season with only 2 goals, he left AC Milan to join &lt;strong&gt;Beşiktaş&lt;/strong&gt;, where he struggled to make an impact.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;(Photo X Lecce)&lt;/p&gt;

A surprise move from Lecce`s sporting director, who has announced the signing of Ante Rebić. For the Croatian forward, the Salento shirt will be his fourth in Serie A, following stints with Fiorentina, Hellas Verona, and AC Milan.
