&lt;p&gt;Fiorentina are renewing their squad in search of those adept to the tactics of new Head Coach, Raffaele Palladino. After the arrival of Moise Kean, Marin Pongracic and &lt;a href=&#34;https://www.legaseriea.it/en/media/serie-a/colpani-is-a-viola&#34; data-new-window=&#34;true&#34; target=&#34;_blank&#34; rel=&#34;noopener noreferrer&#34;&gt;Andrea Colpani&lt;/a&gt;, the Viola have made their biggest move: the new goalkeeper for the Tuscans is David De Gea, a player with enormous international experience and a career as a top player behind him, having played 12 seasons at Manchester United.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;De Gea&lt;/strong&gt;, born in Madrid in 1990, came up through the &lt;strong&gt;Atleti&lt;/strong&gt; youth sector and joined the Colchoneros’ B team at 18 years old. From the 2009/10 season, he began to break into the First Team as a reserve under Sergio Asenjo, but with the change of coach coming to turn things around, it was Quique Sánchez Flores who decided to bet on the young David. The ex-Atleti player won his place as a starter between the sticks where he would remain for the next 12 seasons, working under nine different coaches. The Spanish player won numerous trophies with Manchester United, including one &lt;strong&gt;Premier League&lt;/strong&gt; title, one FA Cup and another Europa League, as well as winning the &lt;strong&gt;Golden Glove&lt;/strong&gt; Award in 2018/19 as the best goalkeeper in the English league.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thanks to his performances at Old Trafford, De Gea began to be entrusted with a spot in the Spanish National Team squad under Del Bosque, succeeding Iker Casillas. The Red Devils keeper thus became the &lt;strong&gt;Roja&lt;/strong&gt; man between the sticks from Euro 2016 to the World Cup 2018, and for the first games of the UEFA Nations League campaign in 2021 after which he was definitively replaced by the young Unai Simon.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;De Gea showed he was still on top of his game at 32 by winning another Premier League Golden Glove in &lt;strong&gt;2022/23&lt;/strong&gt;, his last season with Manchester United before he took the unexpected decision to spend a year out recharging.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After this pause, the Spanish player has chosen to set out on his Viola adventure and try out the emotions of Serie A, a league that has seen many great keepers from all over the world across the years. As well as a suitcase full of charm and experience, De Gea is a goalkeeper with great skill and capability with his feed, ideal for playing at the back, one of Palladino’s main playing principles.
