Fiorentina vs Juventus, the first big match of the matchday
Fiorentina will host Juve in their bid to continue their quest for a European spot, the Bianconeri will aim to defend fourth spot
Fiorentina take on Juventus at the Franchi at 18:00 CET for a true Italian footballing classic.
The Viola, who have one win and four losses in their last five games, will want to reward their fans and rediscover their form in order to move closer towards the European spots.
After the heavy loss to Atalanta which put an end to a five games unbeaten streak, the Bianocneri will want to return to winning ways immediately to defend fourth place in the league.
HEAD TO HEAD
After the 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture earlier this season on 29 December, Fiorentina and Juventus could draw both Serie A matches of a campaign for only the second time in the last 40 years, after 2010/11.
Juventus are unbeaten in seven of their last eight league matches against Fiorentina (W4 D3): the Viola`s only win in this period came in May 2022 (2-0 at the Franchi with goals from Alfred Duncan and Nicolás González).
Only against Milan (27) have Fiorentina lost more home matches in Serie A than against Juventus (24). In their 85 previous encounters on home soil in the competition, Fiorentina have recorded 28 wins and 33 draws.

Juventus have won their last two away league games, against Como and Cagliari; the Bianconeri could record three consecutive Serie A wins on the road for the first time since January 2024. They are also the team to have lost the fewest away games in the current campaign (only one in 13: 6W, 6D).
Fiorentina are one of two sides, along with Atalanta, to have scored the most goals during the opening 15 minutes of play in Serie A this season (seven both); the Viola are also the only team not to have conceded a goal in the first quarter of an hour of play in the 2024/25 Serie A.

After his goal in the reverse fixture earlier this season, Moise Kean could become only the third Fiorentina player to score in both of his first two games against Juventus in Serie A in the three points for a win era (since 1994/95), after Josip Ilicic (between April and December 2015) and Giampaolo Pazzini (between April and December 2005).
Dusan Vlahovic scored 42 goals in 97 league appearances for Juventus, with an average of one goal every 162 minutes and a shot conversion rate of 15%; during his spell at Fiorentina, the Serbian scored 44 goals in 98 Serie A games, with an average of one goal every 146 minutes and a shot conversion rate of 19%.
After scoring a brace in the reverse fixture earlier this season (his first match with 2+ goals between Serie A and Ligue 1), Khéphren Thuram could become only the third Juventus player to score in both of his first two games against Fiorentina in Serie A since 2000, after Gonzalo Higuaín in 2016/17 and Mario Mandzukic in 2015/16.
