&lt;p&gt;Vital points are up for grabs at the Marassi, where Genoa and Empoli will play the opening fixture on Saturday. The hosts are aiming to bounce back after their defeat to Frosinone and are looking for a win that would put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone. The Rossoblù have four more points than Empoli, who certainly need results.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Genoa have won their last two Serie A TIM games at the Marassi without conceding and haven’t recorded three consecutive home victories with clean sheets since they did so under Gian Piero Gasperini in the period between January and February 2010.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Empoli, meanwhile, have won two of their last three away matches in Serie A TIM (L1), as many as in their previous 22 fixtures in the Italian top flight (D9, L11).
