Inter would go on to win their 12&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; Scudetto at the end of an exceptional season.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;NAPOLI- 0-2 INTER - 18 October 1997&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In a sold-out San Paolo, Gigi Simoni’s Inter walked out on the pitch determined to win and keep their place at the top of the table with 13 points won (2 more than Juventus, Parma, and Roma). Napoli, on the other hand, were sitting on only 4 points and had just made a change in the dugout: Mazzone arrived to replace Mutti, hoping to turn the season around. The hosts, however, were beaten by Galante in the first half and then an own goal from Turrini sealed their fate and the 2-0 scoreline.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;NAPOLI 1-0 INTER - 18 February 2001&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On 18 February 2001, yet another Napoli vs. Inter: the Neapolitans under Mondonico managed to win the very difficult game with a single goal from Francelino Matuzalem. The Brazilian’s big goal beat Frey and decided the match that ended in a 1-0 defeat for Tardelli’s Inter at San Paolo.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;NAPOLI 1-1 INTER – 15 May 2011&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;A draw that counts as a win: the 1-1 draw with Inter at the San Paolo Stadium meant 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; spot in the table for Napoli and automatic qualification to the Champions League. It was the first time for the Neapolitans in the De Laurentiis era, an unforgettable 15 May that is still part of the Azzurri fans’ memories of the squad under caretaker manager Walter Mazzarri, who had an unforgettable season with the side. In the final minutes, Elmas had the best chance to bag the three points for the Nerazzurri, but it ended 1-1 at the Maradona. Inter’s Napoli difficulties continued, having only won once in Naples since the year 2000.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;NAPOLI 3-1 INTER - 21 May 2023&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Matchday 36 of the Serie A TIM season: it was set to be a big game at the Maradona between Napoli and Inter, between Luciano Spalletti and Simone Inzaghi. After a goalless first half despite the many chances, it was Anguissa who broke the deadlock in the second half, a monumental 1-0. Lukaku equalised for the Nerazzurri in the final minutes, but Di Lorenzo brought Napoli back ahead right away before Gaetano sealed the deal with his shot that made it 3-1.
