&lt;p&gt;First against third, just four points separating the two sides; the Bianconeri will try to close the gap, and AC Milan to retain top spot.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Rossoneri, with 53 wins from 176 meetings, have beaten Juventus more times than any other team in Serie A history (67 victories for the Bianconeri and 56 draws). Sunday’s hosts will be looking to continue their run of good form, which has often seen them victorious against the Bianconeri in recent seasons. Last year, AC Milan, who haven’t conceded against Juve in three league games, managed to do the double over the Bianconeri in Serie A for the third time in the last 50 years (following on from 1990/91 and 2009/10) thanks to a 2-0 win at San Siro and then 1-0 in Turin in the reverse fixture.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The last time Juventus beat AC Milan in the league was on 6 January 2021 (3-1 at the Meazza with Andrea Pirlo in charge). Since then, the Rossoneri are unbeaten in their last five against Juve (W2, D2) in Serie A TIM.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Let’s take a look at some of the most iconic fixtures between the two teams in recent years:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;12 March 1989, AC Milan 4-0 Juventus&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That season will mostly be remembered for Inter’s record season as they won the Scudetto under the guidance of Trapattoni, but that meeting between AC Milan and Juve – a head-to-head in the race for European football – clearly went the way of the Rossoneri. Tricella deflected a Van Basten effort behind his own goalkeeper, Tacconi, for AC Milan’s first before Evani doubled the Rossoneri’s lead. Juve were stunned and Mannari bagged a second-half brace to wrap up the victory for AC Milan.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;5 November 1989, AC Milan 3-2 Juventus&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Rossoneri were left smiling a season later too. Juve and AC Milan were trying to peg back Napoli and Diego Maradona, the result of which was a spectacular game at San Siro. Van Basten opened the scoring from the penalty spot before De Agostini – also from the spot – and Schillaci turned it around. The Rossoneri were having none of it and equalised through Donadoni. The winner for the hosts came five minutes from full time, the Swan of Utrecht making it a brace.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;30 October 1994, Juventus 1-0 AC Milan&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Juventus, after three straight titles for the Rossoneri, wanted to close the gap. AC Milan came to the Delle Alpi and Marcello Lippi’s side didn’t miss the opportunity to set things straight: the 1994/95 season would be a whole other story. It was decided by a Roberto Baggio goal; the Divin Codino beat Costacurta and headed home to give the hosts all three points. At the end of the season, Juventus won their first Scudetto in eight years.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;6 April 1997, AC Milan 1-6 Juventus&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Juventus were on a high as they came to San Siro as European and World champions. AC Milan, on the other hand, were going through the worst season of the Berlusconi era. The gulf in class was clear for all to see. Lippi’s side dominated, winning 6-1 thanks to braces from Jugovic and Vieri, as well as goals from Zidane (penalty) and Amoruso. The consolation goal for Arrigo Sacchi’s side was scored by Simone. The Bianconeri went on to win their 24th Scudetto, while the Rossoneri finished eleventh.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;9 December 2001 AC Milan 1-1 Juventus&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It may have ended in a draw, but this clash of Italian giants has gone down in history due to Shevchenko’s goal: the Ukrainian beat three defenders and smashed it past Buffon from a tight angle outside the penalty area. Despite the emotional turmoil of 90 minutes plus extra time, the game at Old Trafford finished goalless and went to penalties. The look from Shevchenko before scoring the penalty to win the Rossoneri the Champions League has become iconic.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;3 August 2003, Juventus 1-1 AC Milan (5-3 pens)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;77 days on from the Champions League final, Juventus and AC Milan faced off in the Supercoppa Italiano at the Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NY. Pirlo handed the Rossoneri the lead from the penalty spot in the 107th minute. AC Milan were just minutes away from victory due to the Silver Goal rule, but Trezeguet equalised a minute later. The game went to a penalty shoot-out; Brocchi made the fatal error but Ferrara made no mistakes, scoring to give Juve the trophy.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;8 May 2005, AC Milan 0-1 Juventus&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Del Piero’s overhead kick and David Trezeguet’s header.
