&lt;p&gt;More than two months have passed since the final whistle of the 2022/2023 season, the football drought is finally over: it`s back on the pitch!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Tours, camps and friendlies are in the past, from Saturday it`s time to get serious with the first round of matches. The grand finale is scheduled for 26 May.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The first kick-off of the new Serie A TIM season will be in Empoli on Saturday 19 August at 18.30 CEST, where Paolo Zanetti`s team will host Marco Baroni`s Hellas Verona, the new coach of the Scaligeri after narrowly surviving relegation last year.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;At the same time, the Italian Champions, Napoli, led by new coach Rudi Garcia, will face the newly promoted Frosinone, returning to Serie A TIM after four years.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;At 20.45 CEST, another double header: Alberto Gilardino`s Genoa, with many new faces such as Retegui, De Winter, Messias and Thorsby, will face Vincenzo Italiano`s Fiorentina. For the Viola, too, it has been a major transfer window: having sold Cabral to Benfica, players of depth and talent have arrived such as Nzola, Yerry Mina, Arthur, Infantino and Beltran.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;At the same time, at San Siro, Simone Inzaghi`s Inter will host the Monza of last season`s sensation Raffaele Palladino.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After Saturday`s four matches, there are four more on Sunday’s menu: at 18:30 CEST., at the Stadio Olimpico, Roma take on Salernitana, a Portuguese match-up: on one side José Mourinho, on the other Paulo Sousa.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Also on Sunday, 20 August, at 18:30 CEST, 400km north of Rome, in Reggio Emilia, Sassuolo and Atalanta will begin their championship, for a match that promises to be super-balanced between Dionisi and Gasperini`s men.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;At 20:45 CEST, Lazio, who finished second in the 22/23 season, will make their league debut against Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare, while Andrea Sottil`s Udinese will take on Massimiliano Allegri`s Juventus in a Bianconeri match-up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The first round of the championship will end with a double fixture on Monday 21 August: at 18.30 CEST Cagliari, on their return to the top flight with Claudio Ranieri on the bench, will play in Turin against Ivan Jurić`s team. At 20:45 at the Dall`Ara, Thiago Motta`s Bologna face Pioli`s AC Milan, a team which has undergone a major overhaul bidding farewell to Sandro Tonali and many new arrivals: Loftus-Cheek, Sportiello, Romero, Pulisic, Reijnders, Okafor, Chukwueze and Musah.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Now we’ll let the football do the talking, happy Serie A TIM everyone!&lt;/p&gt;
