Beyond the two teams’ objectives, it’s inevitable the encounter will bring back plenty of memories for the coaches, who shared some truly unforgettable years during their playing days.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Germany, 9 July 2006. A date that all Italian football fans remember following that wonderful World Cup. That evening, the Azzurri became World Champions for the fourth time after a long journey that started against Ghana and finished with a penalty shootout victory over France in Berlin. Both Gilardino and Inzaghi deserve their share of recognition for that magnificent triumph on German soil.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Gila, who scored against the US during the group stage after getting on the end of an Andrea Pirlo free-kick, was also a key figure in the team’s semi-final showdown against Germany in Dortmund, providing the assist for the second goal in the 2-0 victory. Having received the ball from Totti on the counter, he raced towards the box and, after moving inside, played a lovely reverse pass to Del Piero, who stroked the ball into the top corner first-time to put the game to bed.
