Atalanta vs. Udinese, important points at stake

Atalanta will be dreaming of overtaking Fiorentina to get back into fourth, Udinese will want to get away from the bottom of the table

A victory that would bring each side closer to their respective aims for the season: this is the goal for both Atalanta and Udinese who kick off Saturday’s action at the Gewiss Stadium on Matchday 22 of Serie A TIM.

The Bergamo side, ahead of the game against Inter on 28 February at 20:45 CET that was postponed due to the EA SPORTS FC Supercup, will want three points to overtake Fiorentina in the table and carry on their run of good form that has seen Giampiero Gasperini’s side bring home 7 points in recent games.

Udinese also needs a win after picking up 5 points in 3 games and beating Bologna but then slowing down to have only won 1 point of the 9 available so far in 2024 (draw with Fiorentina, defeat to Lazio and AC Milan). The relegation zone is still too close for comfort and the idea will be to move as far away as possible.
