&lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify;&#34;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Rudi Garcia&lt;/strong&gt; believes the performance his players put in at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris tonight wasn&amp;#39;t worthy of a defeat against Walter Zenga&amp;#39;s Sampdoria: “The statistics show we were on top, but we need to improve in front of goal and shore things up in defense.”&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;Was tonight a missed opportunity?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  “This was our first loss of the season, but we didn&amp;#39;t deserve it. I&amp;#39;m pleased with how the team played, but we do need to improve our finishing and defend better as a team. We paid the price for individual errors tonight, just like against Sassuolo on Sunday. Given the amount of chances we created, even a draw wouldn&amp;#39;t have been acceptable, so a defeat is even worse.”&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;Are the errors a result of too much pressure?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  “No, there&amp;#39;s no pressure on the players. We just need to make some improvements in defense. We conceded two against Sassuolo and the same again tonight – winning matches becomes much more difficult if we do this every game. The stats tell you all you need to know about our superiority in the match: 40 crosses, 18 corners and 24 shots. We can improve on this by hitting the back of the net more often and being tighter at the back. If we carry on playing in this manner, we&amp;#39;ll win these encounters. It&amp;#39;s tough right now because of the result, but we need to focus on getting the victory on Saturday because if we drop too many points, we might drop out of contention in the league.”&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;It seems as if this Roma side only starts to get going in the second half.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  “I don&amp;#39;t think that&amp;#39;s the case. We weren&amp;#39;t made to sweat in the first 45 and the two goals we conceded after the break came when we had all of the ball. Congratulations to Emiliano Viviano because he pulled off some miraculous saves tonight. However, we lost the game because of our mistakes at the back and because we didn&amp;#39;t score enough up front. As for our penalty shout, we should have bagged another goal even without that.”&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;Were you pleased with Dzeko&amp;#39;s movement?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  “Sometimes he drops deep to get involved in the build-up and he does this fantastically well, but his job is to get into the box. He didn&amp;#39;t have good enough service tonight, but he&amp;#39;s a great player and we&amp;#39;re confident he&amp;#39;ll score loads for us. We need to sharpen our final ball a bit to allow us to finish these moves off.
