The Philadelphia Coach Of The Month award for May has been assigned to Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini. The trophy will be presented during the pre-match of Atalanta vs Torino, scheduled for Sunday 26th May 2024 at 6.00pm at the “Gewiss Stadium” in Bergamo.

The award was assigned by a jury of Directors of sports media who evaluated each coach on the basis of technical and sporting criteria and the quality of play of their teams, as well as their behaviour/fair play during matches.

For the final calculation were considered the matchdays from 35 to 37 of Serie A 2023/2024.

"Congratulations to Gian Piero Gasperini, the coach who in May led the Dea in the final sprint, allowing Atalanta to achieve three targets of great value: the qualification to the next Champions League, the Final of the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa and above all the historic triumph in the Europa League - said Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo -. In these years Gasperini has been able to give a European game to the Bergamo team, reaching several times the qualification in the top continental competition, but above all facing all opponents, even the most renowned ones, always putting them in difficulty with an offensive game of great intensity”.
