&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Spezia Calcio&lt;/strong&gt; announces that it has appointed &lt;strong&gt;Leonardo Semplici&lt;/strong&gt; as head coach of the first team, who will lead the Eagles until the end of the current season, with automatic extension until June 30, 2025 in case of salvation.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Along with the coach, Andrea Consumi, as assistant coach, athletic trainer Yuri Fabbrizzi and technical assistants Rossano Casoni and Alessio Rubicini also arrive in the Golfo dei Poeti.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After playing in various formations at the semiprofessional level, between Serie D and C2, Semplici decided to pursue a coaching career. His beginnings were at San Gimignano, in Eccellenza, and then at Figline, where in 4 years he won 3 championships, leading the Tuscans from Eccellenza to Lega Pro. The consecration in professional football came for him in 2009, when he sat on the bench of Arezzo, a team in which he had also played as a player, followed the following year by the move to Pisa, again in Lega Pro. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After three seasons at the helm of Fiorentina`s Primavera team, in December 2014 Semplici was hired by SPAL, in Lega Pro. Called in to save the team from relegation, the Florentine coach not only ended the season in fourth place, but managed to ring in a historic climb that took the Estense formation from Lega Pro to Serie A, winning three championships in as many seasons. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The approach with the top series for him will be full of satisfactions: the 2017/18 season will end with an incredible salvation, and in the following season he will manage to repeat, giving the city of Ferrara another extraordinary goal, this time conquered with 3 rounds in advance. In his last experience, called in the current season to lift the fortunes of Cagliari, Semplici will give himself yet another great professional joy.
