&lt;p&gt;The Coppa Italia Frecciarossa is back with the start of the sound round. Three games take place today: &lt;strong&gt;Cremonese vs Cittadella&lt;/strong&gt; at 15:00 CET, &lt;strong&gt;Salernitana vs Sampdoria&lt;/strong&gt; at 18:00 and &lt;strong&gt;Bologna vs Hellas Verona&lt;/strong&gt; at 21:00.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Cremonese&lt;/strong&gt; host &lt;strong&gt;Cittadella&lt;/strong&gt; at the Stadio Zini. The Grigiorossi are dreaming of a repeat of last season’s incredible run all the way to the semi-final, 36 years after first reaching the penultimate stage, where they lost to &lt;strong&gt;Fiorentina&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The two sides face off for the second time in just three days after they played each other in the league on Friday evening. &lt;strong&gt;Giovanni Stroppa&lt;/strong&gt;, who replaced &lt;strong&gt;Davide Ballardini &lt;/strong&gt;midway through September, guided his side to victory as the Grigiorossi climbed into the eighth place, the final playoff spot, with a three-point lead over the Venetian outfit.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After knocking out &lt;strong&gt;Crotone&lt;/strong&gt;, Cremonese will try to do the same to Cittadella, who defeated Serie A side Empoli in the first round. The winner will face Roma in the round of 16.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The next game of the day pits &lt;strong&gt;Salernitana&lt;/strong&gt; against &lt;strong&gt;Sampdoria&lt;/strong&gt;, who are playing for the chance to face &lt;strong&gt;Juventus&lt;/strong&gt; in the next round. &lt;strong&gt;Pippo Inzaghi&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;Andrea Pirlo&lt;/strong&gt;, World Cup winners in 2006 and teammates at AC Milan, will both be hoping for a win to lift the spirits at their respective clubs.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Granata, who are currently bottom of the league and still winless in Serie A this season, beat &lt;strong&gt;Ternana&lt;/strong&gt; 1-0 in August. &lt;strong&gt;Sampdoria&lt;/strong&gt;, who have won the Coppa Italia four times but are currently third-bottom of Serie B, got past&lt;strong&gt; Südtirol &lt;/strong&gt;on penalties on penalties.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Bologna vs Hellas Verona&lt;/strong&gt; is the late game and &lt;strong&gt;Inter&lt;/strong&gt; await the winner in the round of 16. The Rossoblù, cup winners twice in their history, most recently in 1973/74, beat &lt;strong&gt;Cesena&lt;/strong&gt; in the round of 32 and have lost just one game in all competitions this season: on matchday one against &lt;strong&gt;AC Milan&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Scaligeri, on the other hand, have lost their last three league games following a stunning start with two wins from their first two matches – against &lt;strong&gt;Empoli&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;Roma&lt;/strong&gt;.
