&lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify; &#34;&gt;Everything is ready in Riyadh for the 37th edition of the &lt;strong&gt;EA SPORTS FC Supercup&lt;/strong&gt;, which for the second time in its history will involve four teams, first and second in the last Serie A and winner and finalist of the last Coppa Italia Frecciarossa: &lt;strong&gt;Inter, Milan, Juventus &lt;/strong&gt;and &lt;strong&gt;Atalanta&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify; &#34;&gt;The history of the trophy began in 1988, when the then president of Sampdoria, Paolo Mantovani, proposed to the President of the then Lega Calcio, Luciano Nizzola, the creation of a trophy to be put up for grabs between the Italian Champions and the winners of the National Cup.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify; &#34;&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;first edition played away&lt;/strong&gt; from Italy dates back to 1993, when AC Milan won against Torino at the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington, United States, inaugurating the tradition of exporting the event abroad to enhance Italian football and Serie A teams around the world.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify; &#34;&gt;In 2002 the game was played in Tripoli, Libya, and Juventus beat Parma. The following year the Bianconeri returned to the United States and beat AC Milan in New Jersey at the Giants Stadium in New York, while the 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2015 editions were played in China between Beijing and Shanghai.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify; &#34;&gt;After the trophies raised in Doha, Qatar, in 2014 and 2016, the &lt;strong&gt;Supercup landed in Saudi Arabia&lt;/strong&gt;: on 16 January 2019, Juventus beat AC Milan at the King Abd Allah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah (the first edition with VAR, introduced in the league the previous season). Then, on 22 December of the same year, Lazio beat Juventus at the King Saud University Stadiumd in Riyadh, the same venue that will host the matches of this edition, while in 2022 the match will be played at the King Fahd International Stadium, again in the Saudi capital: Inter won the Super Cup thanks to a 3-0 win in the derby against Milan.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify; &#34;&gt;The rest is recent history with Inter`s triumph in the last edition, the thirteenth played away from home, the fourth in Saudi Arabia and the third consecutive in Riyadh.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify; &#34;&gt;(Foto LaPresse)&lt;/p&gt;
