However, if Atalanta were to prevail with just a single goal difference, the tie would go to extra time and potentially penalties. If the side from Bergamo were to win with a difference of two or more goals then they would return to the final three years after their last appearance.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Atalanta have reached the final on five of the previous seven occasions they have played in the Coppa Italia semi-finals, including the two most recent against Fiorentina (2018/19) and Napoli (2020/21). The Viola are the only team they have faced at least twice at this stage of the competition (1W, 1D in the 2018/19 season).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After getting there in the 2022/23 season, Fiorentina could reach the Coppa Italia final for two editions in a row for the second time in their history (1960 and 1961).
